      Not only Kim but who would want a question on her weight? There was a time when Kim Kardashian, the Hollywood sensation, never commented on her weight and figure. She thrashed journalists asking about her weight issues. She never really addressed her weight issues openly but after her 20-pound weight loss, she has been boasting about it ever since.

HOW DID SHE GET OUT OF SHAPE?

This is the question that everyone has in their minds. How did Kim Kardashian, who has always been conscious about her appearance, get so out of touch?

Well, Kim herself answers that herself, she said in an interview with People’s magazine that it was tough for her to maintain herself after she had her second child. Her weight went up to 140 pounds (around 64 kg). But she never let this get onto her nerves.

She never really felt ashamed of her figure as she said she welcomed the change her body felt after the childbirth. Some even blame her uneven eating habits that contributed towards making her off shape.

THE QUEST FOR FIT BODY

Kim is a smart woman. She never really discloses what she’s up to. During the period she was planning for her ‘resurrection’, after her childbirth, she constantly made public appearances without giving a clue about what she is doing in her life.

It was the year 2016, after her second child (2015) that she started to gaze upon her fitness goals. She drafted plans on her diet, routine and exercises. She hired a former bodybuilder named Melissa Alcantara for her training, whom she has known for a long time and started hustling on her quest for a fit body.

DIET OF THE KARDASHIAN

No one can lose weight without a good diet, no matter how hardcore your workout routines are. Kardashian explains that she went on a strict Atkins diet to get into shape again. She had around 5-6 meals a day. She concentrated on having a low carb diet so that her body may burn fat during her exercise. She believes that it was her diet plan that has helped her in losing 20 pounds so quickly.

Her trainer, Alcantara, constantly stays in touch with her chefs and sends them proper diet meal plans, recipes and guidance regarding Kim’s diets.  

Foods she took in her diet- She mostly had the following types of food in her diet:

  • Salmon                                  
  • Egg whites
  • Turkey bacon
  • Oats
  • Almonds
  • Broccoli
  • Chicken breast
  • Tuna salad
  • Hummus and veggies
  • Salad with a light dressing
  • Vegetable soup with low-carb grilled cheese

THE WORKOUT ROUTINE

Talking to a magazine, Alcantara confirms that the whole workout routine was planned according to how Kim wanted it to be. According to her, Kim wanted more muscle, larger hamstrings, shredded abs, and arms.

So, Alcantara goes to Kim’s for like 6 days in a week at 6 a.m. for a workout schedule.

Kim always advises starting the exercise routine by a warm-up session. After her warm-up, she gets going with the following exercises that her trainer has listed for her-

  • Squats
  • Lunge& twist
  • Hamstring curls
  • Bicep curls
  • Crunches
  • Dumbbell Rows

She started off with 5 reps each but slowly increased to 10-12 for better results. Alcantara said that Kim was an absolute workhorse in her exercise and never complained about anything in her training sessions. It is due to her loyalty towards her body that she managed to shed off 20 pounds from her body so quickly.

KIM’S ADVICE FOR WEIGHT LOSS

After she has seen the results herself, she is open to help every lady who’s suffering from weight issues. She knows how much she has done for herself and believes that every woman should be aware of her body.

She basically had the idea that she followed and now desires to share with everyone

  • Ignore sugar
  • Eat more healthy fats
  • Have tiny meals every 4 hours
  • Drink adequate fluids especially water
  • Add veggies to your diet
  • Protein is the key

The very first thing that Kim should be praised for is that she teaches you not to be ashamed or depressed about your appearance. Kim never cared about her critics and this is indeed a valuable lesson that everyone should grasp. No matter what happens, you should be real and open.

One more essential value that Kim teaches is to be committed to your goals and desires. Her trainer, Alcantara admits that Kim was committed to her body and her goal of losing weight.

She’s a celebrity and has a lot of commitments to fulfill but still, she knows what is important for her and what she needs to worry about.  That’s how you sort things out like a pro.
